Firefighting firewater

Savannah. The company s office building and records on-site were destroyed. The concrete wall surrounding the tanks failed during the firefighting activity. Contaminated firewater escaped and insulted the environment. To limit contamination of the marshland, the use of firefighting water was limited.

Monitors are initial manual fire suppression devices that can be activated by operations with limited firefighting training or experience. Use of hydrants and hoses usually require additional manpower and previous training. However, the use of a fire hose provides more flexibility in the application of water sprays and where it may be needed when it is impractical...
