The 2N2222A has a 200 1 attenuation as drawn, can add a couple meg ohms if needed but would sacrifice arc resistance since the distance needed would rise. Just finished first pass on the artwork mods would need to add... [Pg.18]

Once upon a time, Merck seemed to prove that nice guys could finish first, that it could be a profitable business and a social service at the same time. Then both aspects fell apart. [Pg.306]

To bring all these parameters to an acceptable compromise is not easy, even for a single purpose finish. But usually several types of finishes are combined for economical reasons mostly in one bath (only one application and drying process). This is often the hardest challenge of chemical finishing. First, all components of the finish bath must be compatible. Precipitations of anionic with cationic products have to be avoided. The emulsion stability of different products may be reduced by product interactions. More difficult is often the second hurdle, the compatibility of the primary and secondary effects of the different types of finishes that are being combined ... [Pg.2]

Permanent antistatic fmishes, based on crosshnked polyamines and polyglycols, need an alkaline catalyst. Therefore the one-bath combination with finishes, which need acid catalysis, is difficult but not impossible. Examples of acid-catalysed fmishes are the easy-care and durable press fmishes, durable hydrophylic silicone softeners and elastomeric finishes, also fluorocarbon-based repellency and some flame-retardant finishes. High finish effects result from a two-bath application with of the easy-care finish first followed by the surface-related antistatic finish. [Pg.128]

Figure 17. Transition diagram in the frequency space between fixed start and goal. The sample to finish first among randomly chosen 64 samples. It takes 18,702 x 103 steps to finish. The pathway is through the region that satisfies 1/3 < a>i < 1/2 and 1/2 < a>2 < 2/3 shown as the small hub in Fig. 15. K = 0.5, b = 0.040. Figure 17. Figure 19. The same plot as in Fig. 17 except for parameters K = 0.9 and b = 0.002. Samples to finish first use 2187 x 103 steps. The pathway is not on lower-order resonances but through overlapped higher-order resonances (e.g., between C02 = 5/7 and C02 = 3/4). Figure 19. This is a very good, basic recipe producing a semi-sweet stout with complex malt flavors. A rich coffee-like flavor predominates. Full-bodied and smoothfinishing, this brew has a taste that is a cross between Guinness and Mackeson, but not as sweet as Mackeson, nor as dry and bitter as Guinness. This brew finished first in the 1988 Novice Homebrew Competition sponsored by the Florida Institute of Zealous Zymurgists (F.I.Z.Z.), as well as taking Best of Show in that competition. [Pg.126]

Errington knew that Johns was close to finishing his machine and was determined to get Eldorado s into operation before the one in Saskatoon. This was not simply because he was competitive by nature - although he was that. There was a more practical reason. Errington knew full well the commercial value of the publicity that he could generate by finishing first. Indeed, he managed a small publicity coup well before the teletherapy unit was ready for operation. He shipped a model of the... [Pg.73]

Due to the constant presence of backlog in production, parts production was rarely synchronized and then only per chance. The parts finished first thus waited for the last parts in this warehouse. Once everything had arrived in the stockroom, assembly could begin. [Pg.152]

However, the next day Landis destroyed the field and as a result of the comeback went on to finish first in Paris. [Pg.495]

One continuous system for carbonation used in the United States is the Dorr process, introduced in the 1930s. In this process, heated juice is treated with milk of lime or lime saccharate in a cylindrical column (primary tank) where carbon dioxide gas is added. The contents of the secondary tank are continuously pumped into the bottom of the primary tank. The finished first-carbonated juice flows from an overflow line in the discharge of the recirculation pump to a subsider in which the insoluble matter is separated from the juice. The thickener is a cylindrical tank consisting of a number of shallow compartments with trays and rotating paddles that continuously remove the settled sludge. The filtrate is... [Pg.332]

Similarly, the polysaccharide moiety may be finished first, followed by attachment of a single amino acid and continued growth of the peptide chain. [Pg.386]
