EDOG. EDOC, available on just the Questel system, provides in most instances less complete patent family information than either WPI or INPADOC, but it is unique in including Japanese C-level documents and also some AustraUan data not available in the other two databases. It is possible on occasion to find family information from before 1970 in this database, though such data are not provided systematically. The abiUty to search by the EPO-modified version of IPC is unique. Its value is tempered by the fact that output does not even include tides, much less abstracts of patents. That output can, however, be transferred by cross-file search protocols to more detailed files, such as WPI. [Pg.61]

The disk contains over 120 models in files that may contain source and executable code, sample input lilcs, other data files, sample output files, and in many cases, model documentation in WordPerfect, ASCII text or other formats. The disk contains IMES with information on >clecting tin appropriate model, literature citations on validation of models in actual applications, and a demonstration of a model uncertainty protocol. [Pg.369]

The plan, then, was to do the next 20 analyses according to a modified protocol that incorporated a weighing step after every volumetric operation. The evaluation of the absorbance measurements (data files VVV.dat, VWV.dat, and WWW.dat) was carried out according to three schemes for the aforementioned steps 2 to 4, to use either the volumetric or the gravimetric results, or use a combination thereof ... [Pg.176]

File transfer protocol (FTP) technology is a data communication tool that allows sending, accessing, and sharing files quickly and easily through a secure environment. The user logs onto the FTP site with a valid account name and a valid password. This method allows participants to share data files instantly. [Pg.602]

Koterba, Ground-Water Data-Collection Protocols and Procedures for the National Water-Quality Assessment Program Selection, Installation, and Documentation of Wells and Collection of Related Data, Open-File Report 95-398, US Geological Survey, Reston, VA (1995). [Pg.816]

Once you have your SAS data ready for transport, you need to determine a means to deliver it. There are many ways to send data, but you should strive for process simplicity and data security. To keep your data secure and to comply with 21 CFR-Part 11, you need to encrypt your data files for transport. The best encryption you can use is key exchange high-bit encryption software such as PGP, which creates essentially unbreakable files when used properly. Once your data files are encrypted, you can either send them on physical media such as CD-ROM or send them electronically with secure transmission software such as Secure File Transport Protocol (SFTP). If you need to send data to someone once, a CD-ROM is simple enough to produce. However, if you need to send the data repeatedly, then you should use a more automated electronic method of data exchange. Shell scripts and batch files can be written to automate the electronic data transfer process. [Pg.288]

File Transfer Protocol. A protocol used to move files over the Internet. Typically, you use a command line command, browser capability, or program on your computer called an FTP client to connect to an FTP server found on the Internet. Once connected to the FTP server, you can move files back and forth between your computer and the FTP server. SFTP, Secure FTP, is a more secure protocol for moving data over the Internet in which both your login information and data are encrypted during communications. [Pg.310]

All tests within the activities of Section 6.2.4 are recorded and documented in file (F). A similar test protocol for the loading and unloading installation GT50/95/2 must be established. However no example can be given, since this kind of equipment can be based on very different design layouts. [Pg.264]
