Frequency is another variable that requires further study, as hydrogen-assisted fatigue appears to be strongly sensitive to time scales [9]. This is likely due to surface and transport kinetics of hydrogen consequently, upper bounds for testing frequency must be estabhshed, which are representative of the load cycles that can be expected for service conditions. 

Develop self-awareness of known patterns of fatigue (for example, in the hours between 4 00 and 6 00 a.m.), as well as individual times when fatigue appears prevalent. 

The fracture surfaces, revealed when the tube is broken open, are found to be smooth with a rippled appearance characteristic of fatigue. Thermal fatigue damage is not confined to complex structures or assemblies. It can occur at the surface of quite simple shapes and appear as a network of cracks.
