A timeline is made up of a sequence of events arranged in chronological sequence, thus providing a clear picture of causes and their effects. Timelines generally comprise three major sections.

It fell out that certain soldiers, who had been most honoured and favoured by the Governor, conspired to seize the ship, murder the captain, and return to the river Plate, forcing the pilot to take them. They delayed the execution of the plan while they decided who should be their leader and also because Pedro Sarmiento, not without apprehension and mindful of past events, arranged that certain men in his confidence should be in attendance near the captain, and so be prepared. It was known that, when the ship was in danger in the Strait, some men wanted to return but they did not dare because the ship was aground and they knew not how to escape, but they had weapons in their hands with the intent of mutiny. 

In a fixed construction, all the feeders in the switchboard, feeding the various load points, are securely mounted in the assembly and rigidly connected to the main bus. In the event of a fault in one feeder on the bus side, a shutdown of the entire switchboard may be required. A process industry or critical loads can ill afford such an arrangement. However, since this is the most cost-effective switchboard, it is also the most common type and is used extensively. It also suits all applications, except a process industry or critical loads, which may not be able to afford a total shutdown or prolonged downtime in the event of a fault. In such cases a draw-out type switchboard will prove to be a better choice as discussed below. A fixed-type construction may further be classified as follows. 

Consider Example 25.1 for 7200 kVAr units arranged in a single star and 14 400 kVAr units arranged in a double star. The computation of overvoltages and fault currents in the event of failure of a single unit in the two configurations is in a tabulated form as follows ... 

Risk assessment The sequence of events necessary to ensure that a system is designed to provide the safest possible working arrangement. 

Test procedures The arrangements of the various sequences of events necessary for carrying out a test on a system during commi-ssioning or for any other testing.

Arrange for backup systems in the event that the computerized system breaks down. 

The German Gesellschaft fur Reaktorsicherheit (GRS) has a private arrangement with Rheinische Westalisches Elekrizitatswerke (RWE) to compile reliability data from an operating power plant, Biblis B. The data base contains failure rate, maintenance, and operational event data. External event data (floods, earthquake, fire, etc.) are compiled through a separate utility-sponsored data base. The data base provides information on repair and maintenance, and equipment performance.

Each connection may be linked to one of the busses through one breaker, and in the event that one breaker is out of service or in need of maintenance, the connection may still be served through the two breakers to the other bus. The name of this arrangement comes from the fact that two connections are served by three breakers, so that there is an average of one and a half breakers per connection. This scheme is less complicated than the ring bus, with higher reliability, but is more costly.

A waste product, whether exempt or not, should always be recycled if economically possible. Oil-based drilling mud typically is purchased back by the vendor for reuse. Unused chemicals are similarly taken back for resale. Arrangements should be made with the mud company for similar arrange for partial drums/sacks of chemical. Muds also may be used on more than one hole. With the advent of closed system drilling, the mud must be moved off location in the event of a producing well. 

Overall direction of the Institution is vested in its Council, but committees and panels of members carry out much of the Institution s detailed work. Branches and divisions of the Institution are run by their own committees, which arrange programs of visits, lectures and other appropriate activities, spread throughout the year. Non-members are very welcome to attend most Institution events. The Institution publishes its journal. The Plant Engineer, and other technical information, and organizes national conferences and exhibitions. 

A third alternative is to rate the transformer in-feeds for single supplies but to arrange for automatic switching of the bus section and two incomers in the event of loss of supply to one section. A rapid transfer switching to the remaining supply in the event of loss of single supply can prevent the total loss of motor loads. In such a situation, the effect of the current taken by motors to which the supply has been restored must be taken into account.
