While designing your procedure management system, you must determine the resources that are available to you. There are many resources to consider, but they can be divided into four basic categories people, capital, existing information, and computer hardware. Some common questions that relate to resources are 

Who will carry out the various responsibihties outlined in the procedure mana ment system  

What computer resources are available to the procedure writers and those managing the procedures  

Who will distribute revised procedures to replace old ones whether as hard copies or on a computer

Fortunately, even if you have neglected your health, you can start now to plan a lifestyle that takes you into a healthier retirement. How well you ve taken care of yourself determines how much change may be required in your daily routine. This includes such things as proper eating habits, exercise, sleep, smoking, drinking, and the amount of stress you experience. By conducting the assessment against these two sets of criteria you can accomplish two objectives identifying the existence and current status of your company s PSM management systems, and evaluating them against good practice. 

A deficiency in a procedure management system may not always be apparent. Periodic evaluation of the system, including the written procedures, will help to identify and correct deficiencies. Part of this evaluation should be the verification that the procedures reflect actual, approved plant practices. Procedure users are an excell t system evaluation resource. If your procedures are used frequently, the users will recognize when they no longer reflect current operations or if they begin to stray from the development guidelines.
