As a result of the different properties of the material, the mbbery copolymers are indicated here as EVM according to the mbber nomenclature, with the M standing for the saturated backbone. We prefer the abbreviation EVM instead of EAM, as prescribed in ASTM D 1418-85, to avoid confusion with ethylene-acrylate copolymers, coded as AEM. The thermoplastic material is denoted by EVA, but this abbreviation is also frequently used for the whole class of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers. [Pg.346]
