The residue is crystallized from 2,2 -oxybispropane, yielding 2.2 parts (48%) of 1 -(4-fluorophenvlmethyl)-N-[1 - [2-(4-methoxvphenyl)ethvl] -4-piperidinyl] -1H-benzlmidazol-2-amine MP 149.1°C. [Pg.109]

In a stainless steel hydrogenation bottle were placed 17.6 g (0.1 mol) of 4-(p-methoxyphenyl)-3-buten-2-one, 80 ml of ethyl acetate, and 1 g of Raney nickel catalyst.
