E-tail

The adherence of mercury to glass, i.e. tailing in presence of ozone, is probably due to the formation of an oxide. The oxidation of the iodide ion to iodine in solution is used to determine ozone quantitatively.

Before describing this theory, we outline the theory of Hoeve et al.41) formulated under the assumptions that the polymer chain is so long that end effects, i.e. tail formation, may be neglected and that the surface coverage is so low that the interaction of adsorbed polymer chains is negligible.

Results from operation of laboratory prototype units show that both particulate matter and SO2 emissions can be reduced to acceptable levels. However, long-term operation on commercial-sized units must be demonstrated. Three types of C-E tail-end systems, as given below, are being installed by utilities on coal-fired units.

Design of Markets and Mechanisms of Transactions. Initially the business-to-business (B2B) types of transactions were the primary e-commerce activities. These activities quickly expanded to include sales to consumers via electronic retailing (e-tailing), often called business-to-consumer (B2G). Since the late 1990 s e-commerce has expanded to include consumer-to-consumer (C2C) Web sites, including eBay, and consumer-to-business (G2B), such as Priceline, where several airlines or hotels will compete for the purchase dollars of consumers. Each of these types of transactions can be completed within the general structure of one of the many different types of e-commerce models to generate revenue. 

Westcott defines also a second correction which may be applied to the effective thermal cross section in order to account for the lower portion of the 1/E tail from the slowing-down distribution.
