Dysuria General

Dysuria refers to difficult or painful urination. Dysuria generally indicates urinary tract infections. Symptoms of hyperglycaemia include polyuria (excretion of abnormally large quantity of urine), polydipsia (excessive thirst), visual disturbances, ketonuria and weakness. 

Generally, the approach to DE, dysfunctional voiding, and frequency/dysuria is not excessively different from that to NE. However, even if associated UHs are absent or successfully treated, these children are very likely to have urological pathology. All interventions are far less likely to be completely effective. Also, the majority of these children also have NE. Probably all of them should be referred for urological or neurourological consultation. 

Toxic effects due to 4-chloro-ort/20-toluidine result from inhalation or skin contact (Stasik, 1991). The first symptom of 4-chloro-orl/20-toluidine toxicity is macroscopic or microscopic haematuria. Further symptoms include dysuria, reduced bladder capacity and generalized pain in the lower abdomen. Haemorrhagic cystitis is the leading symptom of acute toxicity. 

Hypersensitivity has been reported in 0-8% of patients in trials of intravesical epirubicin the symptoms included generalized skin rash, vulval irritation, or urinary frequency and dysuria, or were not stated (100,103,104). One of 34 patients developed symptoms characterized as allergic (dizziness, nausea, hypotension) 1 hour after instillation of epirubicin (105). Two patients who received epirubicin developed severe allergic reactions and one died (106,107). 

Various parts of Solanum melongena (Solanaceae) are useful in the treatment of inflammatory conditions, cardiac debility, neuralgia, ulcers of nose, cholera, bronchitis and asthma. Roots are used as antiasthmatic and general stimulant, juice is employed for otitis, applied to ulcers of the nose. Leaves are used in the treatment of bronchitis, asthma and dysuria, also given in liver eomplaints and they stimulate the inter hepatic metabolism of cholesterol.
