Spreadsheets are often used to maintain recipes or analytical methods that directly include calculations. This may be very helpful to overcome the disabilities of LIMS systems or the poor functionality of an ERR Analytical method validation, calculations of cleaning validation, and calibration lists are other areas where spreadsheets may be used within the pharmaceutical industry. This category of spreadsheet typically takes the form of preconfigured templates. Before spreadsheets were so widely used, programmable pocket calculators were used to perform such functions. 

Various strategies have been devised to overcome these problems. Controlled release preparations of levodopa tend to be associated with an inadequate initial response and disabling dyskinesia at the end of the dose. Plasma membrane potential of animal cells The membrane potential of whole cells is more difficult to assess than that of isolated organelles with optical indicators because cells contain many sub-ccllular compartments, and it is necessary to isolate the response of the plasma membrane from that of any other cell membrane. For example, the intense staining of mitochondria by cyanine dyes (7). which are membrane-permeant cations, means that if you choose a cyanine dye, or other lipophilic cation, lo measure plasma membrane potential it is important to establish conditions where the mitochondrial potential is disabled. If an anionic dye is chosen, this problem is overcome but there is, then, very little entry of dye into the cells unless the dye is itself reasonably lipophilic. Thus, for studies of whole cells, we employ an oxonol dye with a phenyl substituent. It is difficult in the DCS to make provision for one of the controllers to be disabled without the other(s). While this might be overcome by only permitting all-or-nothing operation, one controller may saturate. This will change the apparent process gain of the other(s). A properly configured MVC package will handle this situation routinely.

In an ideal inclusive world, the onus would not be on the disabled student to overcome these obstacles, or the obstacles themselves would have ceased to exist as such but the world the project students were entering was not ideal in this respect and therefore, particularly at secondary level, social success appeared to depend on the possession of unusually developed social skills.
