Deviated burden

Total vibration received at a particular point due to deviated burden (V ) is the sum of actual vibration due to optimiun burden and the increase/ decrease in vibration due to deviated burden. 

The net vibration due to deviated burden is a function of vibration with optimum burden and ratio of excess burden to optimum burden. [v2=Vj(25° -l)]. 

On the scale of assimilability, groups turn out to be predictably ordered according to their degree of deviation from a white Protestant norm, and the division of Caucasians into light and dark suspiciously coincides with the earlier scheme of distinct white races. Thus the purely cultural matter of assimilation is not entirely independent of race, even for those who have now become Caucasians the light -skinned Jew who is not physically different and thereby not burdened with negatively evaluated racial traits assimilates more easily than his dark-skinned co-religionist, the dark Caucasian.43... 

The Einstein equation is exact only at very low concentrations in aqueous solution. In a broader perspective, the Commission exercised the central coordination that the theoretical literature emphasises as necessary to correct for undersupplied goods and services in a decentralised market and to address distributional problems that can arise from uncoordinated, decentralised decisions. In this instance, the centre provided a large part of the educational services needed to obtain a smooth and timely implementation and it acted to ensure a reasonable degree of equity among Member States with respect to the burden that would be placed upon national industries included in the EU ETS. It might be added here, that these responsibilities will certainly be transferred to their full extent to an eventual replacement Study Director. Since a permanent replacement will entail the privilege - or the burden, whichever describes the situation better - of accepting, with the signature under the statement of GLP compliance of the final report, the full responsibility for the quality, integrity and reliability of the data and the report, it will be one of the first activities of this person to assure him- or herself, as soon as practicable after taking over the new position, and preferably with the assistance of Quality Assurance personnel, of the GLP compliance in the study as it has been conducted to date. If this were to be done by means of an interim review or data audit, the results of such a GLP review should be fully documented, especially in such cases where deficiencies or deviations were found. 

These longhand arithmetic manipulations were done solely for didactic reasons. You need not worry about the prospect of calculating endless sums just to obtain averages, standard deviations, or many other statistical quantities. Any scientific electronic calculator comes already pre-programmed for these operations. Moreover, several easily accessible computer programs, some of them fi eeware, perform not only these calculations but much more complex ones as well. The sooner you learn to use one of these programs the better. If for no other reason, statistics will appear less of a burden. 

The new predictor equation canbeusedfor estimation of vibration levels when there is deviation of burden due to choking of holes and misfires, which result in increased vibration intensity. This is useful for adopting safety measures for sensitive stmctures in the vicinity of the blast zone. 

Thus far, one gets the impression that al-Mas udI s stance towards Avicenna is rather benign. He does not go out of his way to dig up problems in Avicenna s philosophical system, or to construct objections to it, but supposedly stumbles upon some problems almost by accident. He feels burdened by the problems he has identified, and spares no effort to solve them. As we have already seen, the objection shakk) and solution (hall), which often come as a pair, are normally undertaken by two different individuals, one who raises the objections and another who responds to them and defends or develops the system criticised. Al-Mas udi does the former, and expresses his desire and hope to do the latter. And, as noted, a solution , properly speaking, should not deviate radically from the target system, but should be conducted as much as possible within its parameters. 

A second matter that was of some concern was the question of what expression of detection limits to use. This was central to applying K-XRF methodology to bone Pb burdens in human populations having lower, environmentally derived Pb levels, versus those in workplace settings. As originally developed in occupational health settings, lead worker XRF bone Pb measurements expressed MDLs in the conventional manner, as multiples of the standard deviation of background, twice the median error, etc. This...
