Demographic changes

Dementia is characterised by a progressive decline in cognitive function. The prevalence of dementia increases with age. With the demographical changes, the number of patients with dementia will increase. There are three major forms of dementia Alzheimer s disease, vascular dementia and a mixed dementia. Beside these, there are several less common subtypes of dementia.

I welcome too the coverage of the importance of new technologies and analytical techniques, and the impact of developing demographic changes in India and China particularly on how synthesis may be conducted in the future. This is an important debate and one that is well beyond simple anticipated financial savings. 

Because fear often arises about demographic changes (stemming from immigration, variation in reproductive rates, and the like), this is not an effective topic for individuals and organizations in the early stages of development. The result will often be fear. 

Examine the growing demographic changes that will take place within the next fifteen to thirty-five years and how inclusion will be involved in responding effectively to these critical changes. 

The dimensions of this integration include understanding the implications of global demographic change on product demands and customer requirements. It also underscores the fact that diverse and inclusive teams often outperform homogeneous teams in terms of productivity and innovation (see Hayles, Chapter 2, this volume). 

The current retail market is the result of demographic changes (age, size of households, types of households), socioeconomic changes (labor market, disposable incomes), and life styles (greater emphasis on pastimes) (Femie et al., 2004). The retail industry has grown in size and is considerably more sophisticated now than ever before, partly as a result of the demands of increasingly sophisticated consumers. 

Second, partly due to this academic drift and partly a result of socio-cultural and demographic changes, the chapters in this Part tell a story of institutional change in engineering education that promotes social mobility. Demographic changes that are so rapid that they outstrip the capability of the nation to provide basic necessary services and opportunities for employment. 

Whether or not one agrees with the proposition that the handmaidens of industrialization were disruption, deprivation, disease, and death, it is clear that economic and demographic change are often associated with environmental degradation. Yet there has been no effort to assess, in a systematic manner, long-term changes in human exposure to inorganic poisons and the effects of those poisons on the broader environment.
