It is observed from the simulation results that the increase of Sy(t) has only very limited effect to the improvement of motion performance. The reason is that collision avoidance in dynamic environment is basically a local operation. The moving state of far away object has very little influence to the current trajectory of the robot. On the other hand, the increase of Sy(t) increases the Tc(t), thus degrades the system performance. [Pg.525]
