Urokinase, danazol, dapsone, sodium cromoglycate, and plasma exchange have also been evaluated, but none is consistently effective nor shown to affect renal function. Cyclosporine treatment for 12 weeks was evaluated in nine patients. FToteinuria was reduced and plasma albumin concentrations increased. However, the creatinine clearance decreased during treatment and did not return to baseline after termination of cyclosporine therapy. Cyclosporine is not, therefore, indicated for patients with IgA nephropathy. [Pg.909]
