Creeping thyme

A new condiment is described that contains soya-bean paste, puree from Jerusalem artichoke and radish, sugar, salt, vegetable oil and extracts of carrot seeds, mustard seeds, rice meal, fennel, basil, creeping thyme, and Grecian laurel. It has improved organoleptic properties and is enriched with biologically active substances.

Other thyme species used include T. x citriodoriis (Pers.) Schreb. (syn. T. serpyllum L. var. vulgaris Benth.), which is known as lemon thyme T. zygis L. and T. serpyllum L., known as creeping thyme, wild thyme, or mother of thyme. 

Creeping thyme is used for similar purposes as common thyme. Its infusion is also reputed to be useful in the treatment of alcoholism (lust).
