Monomer Concentration Effect. MATLAB is used along with the bioinformatics toolbox and the batch conversion wrapper code available online see Note 10) to convert mzXML files into spectra-containing text files. During this step, the data may be processed by baseline subtraction and smoothing with the Bioinformatics Toolbox functions in MATLAB to eliminate noise and create more uniform ion images. 

The conversion, the energy generation profile, and the monomer and initiator moles profiles, as well as the polymer average molecular weights, are computed and plotted. We produce here two files a script that is used to provide the data for the ODE statement and a function that will contain the differential equations and the dehnitions of the different parameters needed.
