Convention for the years

Submission of information by Governments on licit trade in and legitimate uses of and requirements for substances in Tables I and II of the 1988 Convention for the years 2002-2006 [Pg.55]

Governments of the countries and territories indicated have provided information on licit trade in and legitimate uses of and requirements for substances in Tables I and II of the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988, on form D for the years 2002-2006. That information was requested in accordance with Economic and Social Council resolution 1995/20. Details may be made available on a case-by-case basis, subject to confidentiality of data. [Pg.55]

Notes The names of non-metropolitan territories and special administrative regions are in italics. [Pg.55]

Entries for parties to the 1988 Convention (and for the years that they have been parties) are shaded. [Pg.35]

Readers are reminded of the convention for the presentation of chemical shift data introduced into Volume Three of this series. This self-consistent convention has now been used for some two years in various places and is gradually being universally accepted. [Pg.548]

For MACRS, the statutory percentages were based on a 200-percent declining balance for class lives of 3, 5, 7, and 10 years and a 150-percent declining balance for class lives of 15 and 20 years with a switch to straight-line depreciation at the time appropriate to maximize the deduction. The half-year convention applied for the first year when property was placed in service and also for the year of disposal. Salvage value was taken as zero. [Pg.287]

Following these two surveys, we conducted a literature review based upon Ceramic Abstracts for the years 1988-2002. The results are summarized in Table 2.1. The results presented in Table 2.1 indicate that there has been a significant increase in the literature on CBPCs in recent years. The major thrust of the research has been in biomaterials and dental cements. Though small in number, there have been several articles in structural materials applications, which also include oil well cements. Interest in conventional refractory materials has continued, and as expected, all the applications have been supported by research in materials structure and properties of the CBPCs. [Pg.16]

This is the short title for the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property. This treaty was first signed in Paris in 1883 by 11 countries and has been revised several times over the years. Today 157 countries have ratified this treaty. A notable country of concern to the pharmaceutical industry that is not a member of the Paris Convention is Taiwan. [Pg.2606]

The OsPar Convention for the North East Atlantic has set the generational goal of eliminating hazardous emissions within one generation, or by the year 2020. Such a timeline has also been adopted by the Swedish government in their new chemical policy and this provides a benchmark by which the transition to green chemistry and safer materials can be measured. No other country has detailed such a clear set of criteria and goals to achieve a nontoxic future. ... [Pg.34]

The first and most important of these treaties is the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of 1883. The Convention allows an applicant to file a patent application in any of the Convention countries and then, no more than one year after the filing, to file corresponding patent applications in any, or all, of the other Convention countries and to claim the benefit of the filing date of said earlier patent application. [Pg.626]

The filing of a patent application in a single country or with a multicountry patenting organization sets a priority date. This allows the applicant to file an application on the same invention in most other countries under the provisions of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property. The Paris Convention gives the applicant a year to file applications in all member countries, claiming an invention disclosed in the... [Pg.210]

The results obtained analysing 1300 images for the year 2000 of the Baltic Sea are unsatisfactory. In fact only 100 oil spills were detected. This number of oil spills seems too low compared with data obtained from aerial surveillance in the framework of the Helsinki Convention (see ref. HELCOM). In particular, in the year 2000, 476 oil spills were detected by aerial surveillance (4809 flight hours). In the following years, the number of spills detected by aerial surveillance shows a positive decrease, 389 in 2001, 344 in 2002, 292 in 2003. [Pg.284]

Initial declarations are required (1) for past offensive BW programmes which BWC states parties acceding to the Protocol have undertaken between 1946 and entry into force of the Convention for the respective state - in case of the USA and the Russian Federation the latter year would be 1975, and (2) defensive BW programmes and/or activities conducted during the ten years preceding the entry into force of the Protocol for the state party. [Pg.52]

The adverse health effects of plastics containing phthalates has prompted the EU to ban DBP, BBP, DEHP, DOP, DINP, and DIDP in baby toys that may be introduced into the mouths of children under three years. In addition, several proposals for the prohibition of DEHP use in medical materials have been made. In 1998, the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Northeast Atlantic established the objective of eliminating the emissions and release of all hazardous substances into the environment by 2020, including DBP and DEHP in the list of chemicals for priority action. The EU has also included DEHP in the list of 33 substances of... [Pg.1110]
