Control sensor-based operations

Digital control A control loop in which a microprocessor-based controller directly controls equipment by means of sensors. Its operation depends on a series of on-off pulses arranged to convey information. [Pg.1429]

These are generally of Type 1, i.e. the real time requirement is that the mean response time is not greater than some predetermined value. Such systems are similar to the sensor based type, but the response of the computer control system depends upon the number of operations that are being performed at any given time. [Pg.695]

They operate as drive, amplitude control of the drive, detectors for the oscillation nodes, and as actuators to keep the nodes in place. The principle enables a complete self-test by simulating a yaw rate via the piezoactuators of the closed loop. A yaw-rate sensor based on the principle of a vibrating cylinder is used in VDC systems (Fig. 7.2.18). This principle has been used in a similar way in silicon micromachining and is used in a yaw-rate sensor for VDC [9]. [Pg.312]

Second, for extended information, additional sensors based on various principles can be integrated into the assembly system.
