Connector panel

The heat and flame resistance coupled with good electrical insulation characteristics, which includes in some grades good arcing and arc tracking resistance, has led to PPS replacing some of the older thermosets in electrical parts. These include connectors, coil formers, bobbins, terminal blocks, relay components, moulded bulb sockets for electric power station control panels, brush holders, motor housings, thermostat parts and switch components. [Pg.595]

Diallyl Phthalate (DAP, DAIP) Powder Excellent humidity resistance. Withstands temperatures over 400 F. Easily processed. Dimensional stability excellent. May be compression, transfer and injection molded. Low cost. Precision potentiometers, RF connectors, waveguide auxiliaries, attenuators, heating panels, heated battery cases. [Pg.390]

Phenolics Elastomers Powder, solutions Excellent thermal stability to over 300 F generally, and over 400 F in special formulations. Broad choice of resins. May be cast or compression, transfer, or injection molded. Precision potentiometers, RF connectors, heating panels. [Pg.391]

Manufacture of Printed Wiring Boards. Printed wiring boards, or printed circuit boards, are usually thin flat panels than contain one or multiple layers of thin copper patterns that interconnect the various electronic components (e.g. integrated circuit chips, connectors, resistors) that are attached to the boards. These panels are present in almost every consumer electronic product and automobile sold today. The various photopolymer products used to manufacture the printed wiring boards include film resists, electroless plating resists (23), liquid resists, electrodeposited resists (24), solder masks (25), laser exposed photoresists (26), flexible photoimageable permanent coatings (27) and polyimide interlayer insulator films (28). Another new use of photopolymer chemistry is the selective formation of conductive patterns in polymers (29). [Pg.7]

Fan motors should be sized at 25% above the brake horsepower. Fans should be belt driven with variable pitch drives up to and including 25 FIP and fixed pitch drives at about 25 FIP. Fans must be radial and they must be balanced (static and dynamic) and mounted on anti-vibration supports. The connection of the fan outlet to the inside panels must be done by means of an internal flexible connector. [Pg.46]

It is of interest primarily for very uniform ultra-thin films and coatings (0.002-5 mils) in applications such as electrical resistors, thermistors, thermocouples, stator cores, connectors, fast-sensing probes, photo cells, memory units, dropwise steam condensers for recovery of sea water, pellicles for beam splitters in optical instruments, windows for nuclear radiation counters, panels for micrometeorite detection, dielectric supports for planar capacitors, encapsulation of reactive powders, and supports in x-ray and optical work. Any significant growth would depend upon a major breakthrough in process techniques and a consequent lowering in price. [Pg.21]

Glass-reinforced SMA polymers are used as electrical connectors, consoles, top pads, and as supports for urethane-padded instrument panels. There are seveial additional automotive uses. SMA aie also found in coffee makers, steam curlers, power tools, audio cassette components, business machines, vacuum cleaners, solar heat collectors, electrical housing, and fan blades, among others. [Pg.1557]

Fill the transfer tank with lx transfer buffer so that the buffer completely covers the electrode panels but does not touch the electrical connectors. [Pg.188]

Ground wire from connector to rack-panel ground post... [Pg.87]

Major polymer applications electronics (computer and television housings, keyboard frames, interface boxes), automotive (instrument panels, interior and exterior trim, glove compartments, wheel covers, electric connectors, ftise boxes), air conditioner housings, hospital and office fiimiture, production of blends... [Pg.661]
