A 74-year-old man with a permanent latex condom catheter developed penile swelling that was non-pitting and involved the subcutaneous tissue of a normal scrotum, after taking lisinopril 5 mg/day for 6 days (86). Removal of the catheter had no effect. After other possible causes were ruled out, ACE inhibitor-induced angioedema was suspected and lisinopril was withdrawn.
