The most efficient approach to measuring intimate contact of a multiple ply composite laminate would probably be to first use the C-scan technique or some other nondestructive method to determine the location of any flaws in the panel. The next step in the process is called the contact method because the sulfur dioxide and oxygen molecules are in contact with a catalyst, usually vanadium pentoxide, V2O5.
