Compensation time

Time-Delay Compensation Time delays are a common occurrence in the process industries because of the presence of recycle loops, fluid-flow distance lags, and dead time in composition measurements resulting from use of chromatographic analysis. The presence of a time delay in a process severely hmits the performance of a conventional PID control system, reducing the stability margin of the closed-loop control system. Consequently, the controller gain must be reduced below that which could be used for a process without delay. Thus, the response of the closed-loop system will be sluggish compared to that of the system with no time delay. 

The generated protons and hydroxyl ions are removed from the transition region by migration and the consumed water can be compensated timely by diffusion from the bulk solution.

Compensating time in lieu of overtime is allowed upon written request by an employee of any county, charter county, consolidated local government, or urban-county government, including an employee of a county-elected official. 

Premium pay not applicable to employees who request compensating time off in lieu of premium pay.

The application of TSC to a wide variety of systems including polymers has been comprehensively reviewed [4]. Interestingly, the Arrhenius plots (or relaxation maps) of TSC relaxation modes measured for polymer systems frequently converge to a single point called the compensation point. The physical meaning of the compensation point is subject to controversy, being possibly the result of the accumulation of experimental errors. However, it has been claimed that the compensation point defines two characteristic parameters the compensation temperature and the compensation time. At the compensation temperature all modes are proposed to have the same relaxation time, and the degree of coordination between relaxation modes is an indicator of the thermokinetic state of the amorphous phase [5]. 

If not in place already, develop a policy stating all drivers are required to report all compensated time outside the scope of your employment as on-duty not driving prior to performing any safety sensitive function. 

However, at a minimum, The Company requires all drivers to report all compensated work performed outside the company upon reporting for duty or their next scheduled shift. In addition, all compensated time outside The Company employment shall be recorded as on-duty/not...

Comparable techniques developed for metal creep are, due to Dorn, the temperature-compensated time parameter, and the related Larson-Miller parameter. 

Establish a policy to ensure that drivers enter all compensated time, including time spent working for a non-motor carrier, on their RODS or prior seven-day duty statement.
