Collaborative Initial Glaucoma Treatment Study (CIGTS)... [Pg.695]

On one hand, Responsible Care is seen as compliance focused and, while considered a component of sustainability, does not currently offer the platform for embracing all of the concepts of sustainability (focus groups above Sustain Ability, 2004). Responsible Care is viewed as a sector-specific collaborative initiative, whereas sustainability broadly encompasses issues of competitive positioning and business growth, which involve full engagement of internal and external stakeholders. Even as Responsible Care expands focus to include more sustainability parameters, it is not (seen as) sufficient to drive an overall sustainability program, performance, and the business value derived from sustainable development (Savitz, Chapter 8, Section 8.2). [Pg.22]

The history of the development of a technically feasible catalyst for the enantioselec-tive hydrogenation of MEA imine has been described [3]. Collaborations, initially with a research team from the University of British Columbia at Vancouver and later with the group of J. A. Osborn of the University of Strasbourg were very important. [Pg.59]

This article is dedicated to Osvaldo Goscinski in honor of his 65th birthday. I am in great debt to him for a very close, for me important, collaboration initially and for later wisdom and guidance, both when we agreed and perhaps more significantly when we did not. [Pg.103]

The further metabolism of hexose diphosphate (HDP) was elucidated by Meyerhof and his collaborators. Initially they found that crude enzyme preparations converted HDP to dihydroxyacetone phosphate, and named the enzyme system involved zymohexase. This term is no... [Pg.51]
