Climatic influences

Except for zones below the level of permanent ground water where the environment is water-saturated, and for zones of dry surface sand, continual variation may be expected to occur in the water content of soils. This is usually dependent on rainfall, snow, flooding and such climatic influences, though irrigation practices in many agricultural areas influence water content and hence the corrosion rates.

Indoor air measurements are often carried out on air polluting substances. However, the determination of the VOC and SVOC noxious emission situation is only the first stage in respect of achieving an effective reduction in emissions. Consequently the question must be raised regarding the specific emission sources and their contribution to the total pollution as a function of indoor concentration and climate influences such as temperature, humidity and air exchange. This is demonstrated in Fig. 1 for the example of a building product. 

Common forms Green leafy plant substance (marijuana). Solid brownish substance (hashish) which may vary from very hard to crumbly. Strengths vary due largely to climatic influences on growth, as well as heredity.

Increasing problems are encountered with battery service-life, particularly if the electrolyte temperature is too high as a result of the location of the battery in the vehicle or because of climatic influences [28]. This is due, in part, to improved aerodynamic front-end designs, which reduce both space and wind turbulence under the hood, and to longer high-temperature operating intervals, which may result from traffic congestion. The correlation between battery duty life and climatic conditions is well established [29,30].
