The report is clearly indexed and set out. It tracks progress made towards meeting ICI s SH E 2000 targets, and features articles on how ICI manage safety, health and environment, and the company s involvement in community and conservation issues. For the first time the report also includes articles on how ICI views important issues. The subjects covered in this report are climate change, chemical management and endocrine disruption.

Some typical data for this mouldability index are given in Figure 8.8. One limitation of these data is that they do not explicitly show whether or not a mould will fill in an injection moulding operation. This will clearly depend on the thickness of the moulding, the flow distances required and operational parameters such as melt and mould temperatures. One very crude estimate that is widely used is the flow path ratio, the ratio of flow distance to section thickness. The assumption is that if this is greater than the ratio (distance from gate to furthest point from gate)/section thickness, then the mould will fill. Whilst... 

Over the years many attempts have been made to provide some measure of the maximum service temperature which a material will be able to withstand without thermal degradation rendering it unfit for service. Quite clearly any figure will depend on the time the material is likely to be exposed to elevated temperatures. One assessment that is being increasingly quoted is the UL 746B Relative Temperature Index Test of the Underwriters Laboratories (previously known as the Continuous Use Temperature Rating or Index). 

Pings [106], and a neutron diffraction study by Mildner and Carpenter [107], both concluded that there is no clear evidence for sp carbon and that the radial distribution functions can be satisfactorily indexed to a hexagonal arrays of carbon atoms. A similar conclusion was reached in a recent neutron diffraction study of activated carbons by Gardner et al [108].

Al2(S04)j in aqueous solution is most commonly known as aluminum sulfate solution. The CAS (Chemical Abstract Service) Index is Sulfuric Acid, Aluminum Salt (3 2) . Its CAS number is 10043-01-3. Aluminum sulfate, solution, technical grade is a clear, white to slightly yellow brown liquid. 

If it is deemed appropriate to smii risks and liazard indices across padiways, the risk assessor should clemly idendfy those exposure padiway combinations for which a total risk estimate or hazard index is being developed. The rationale supporting such combinations should also be clearly stated. 

Bleached cotton stalk pulp is treated with different concentrations of ethylene diamine (50-100%) for 20 min. It is clear that the crystallinity index (CrI) of these treated pulps is decreased by increasing the concentration of ethylene diamine that is, the decrystallization increases. The degree of polymerization is nearly the same, but some increase is shown in the sample treated with 100% ethylene diamine. This indicates that 100% ethylene diamine may act as a dissolving agent for low degree of polymerization (DP) of cellulosic chains and hemicellulose.
