Classifier hydraulic

As representative examples of the various machineries used for classification mention may be made of mechanical classifiers, hydraulic classifiers, and hydrocyclones. Simplified sketches of these have been shown in Figure 2.12 (A-C). [Pg.159]

EN 459-1 [26.18] classifies hydraulic limes into the three types described above, namely NHL, NHL-Z and HL and three strength categories with minimum 28-day compressive strengths of 2, 3.5, and 5N/mm respectively (Table 26.9). A summary of the specified physical and chemical tests is given in Table 26.8 (see page 278). Reference should be made to the Standard for the specific requirements. [Pg.284]

The depth was controlled by the calculated groundwater head, the water and pressure conditions in the aquifer as well as by known drilling profiles. Hydraulic parameters, for example the classified hydraulic conductivity, were assigned to each layer of this geometric model from maps and additional measurements. [Pg.137]

Classifier types fall into two basic categories (1) gravitational and (2) centrifugal classifiers. Gravitational classifiers can be subdivided into (1) sedimentation and (2) hydraulic classifiers. Furthermore each type falls into mechanical and nonmechanical types. [Pg.1776]

Basically a hydraulic bowl classifier. Vibrating plate replaces rotating mechanism in pool. Hydraulic water passes through perforations in plate and fluidizes sands. [Pg.1777]

Gives very clean sands and has relatively low hydraulic water requirements (0.5 t/t underflow). One of the most efficient single-stage classifiers available for closed circuit grinding and washing. Relatively expensive. [Pg.1777]

Hydraulic cylindrical tank classifier Om tp (M-F) Hydraulic form of overloaded thickener. Siphon-Sizer (N-F) uses siphon to discharge underflow instead of rotating rake. 1.0 to 40 1.4 mm to 45 im (25 mm) 1 to 150 Not critical 0.4 to 15 20 to 35 0.75 to 11 Two-product device giving very clean underflow. Requires relatively little hydraulic water (2 t/t solids feed). Used for washing, desliming, and closed circuit grinding. [Pg.1778]

Hydraulic cone classifier V°W (M-F) Open cylindrical upper section with conical lower section containing slowly rotating mechanism. 0.6 to 1.6 400 im to 100 im (6 mm) 10 to 120 Not critical 2 to 15. 30 to 50 3 to 7.5 Used primarily in closed circuit grinding to reclassify hydrocycloue underflow... [Pg.1778]

Since the rock formation to be drilled is classified as extremely hard, 1.5 hydraulic horsepower per square inch of bit area will be used as bit cleaning and cooling requirement [87]. The projected bottomhole area of the bit (in. ) is... [Pg.874]

A) crossflow classifier (B) hydraulic classifier (C) hydrocyclone (D) cyclone. [Pg.160]

Hydraulic classifiers are devices that are characterized by the use of water additional to that contained in the feed pulp, and introduced so that its direction of flow opposes that of the... [Pg.160]

The flow of mineral particles on the deck of a riffled table results in a distribution that is essentially similar to that obtained with a smooth table. However, some additional features are introduced due to the action of the riffles. In the case of a smooth table, a hydraulically classified fraction usually makes a better feed as compared with an unsized mixture. However, a classified feed does not always work best on a riffled table, and screen-sized or unsized feed is often used. The maximum particle size that can be treated in a riffled table is generally larger than that corresponding to a smooth table. [Pg.175]

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), and EPA have not classified mineral oil hydraulic fluids, polyalphaolefin hydraulic fluids, and organophosphate ester hydraulic fluids for carcinogenic effects. [Pg.19]

On separation in a hydraulic classifier under free settling conditions, three fractions are obtained, one consisting of quartz only, one a mixture of quartz and galena, and one of galena only. What are the ranges of sizes of particles of the two substances in the original mixture ... [Pg.14]

Safety Barriers. Figure 1 illustrates an application employing intrinsically safe electrical circuits for the demilitarization of ammunition. Three separate areas are required for this application - one area, classified as non-hazardous, to serve as the control and loading area a second area, classified as hazardous, where the actual demilitarization is accomplished and a third area, classified as non-hazardous, is required for the hydraulic pump due to the level of noise produced. [Pg.260]
