Countless young children unceremoniously drown, and little is said of that often preventable possibility. The National Safety Council stated that in 2000, 900 people drowned on home premises in swimming pools and in bathtubs. Of that number, 350 were children between newborn and 5 years old. MILLY Do we really need drones When a firefighter on a ladder grasps a drowning child, the entire arrangement is like a large arm. [She uses a direct analogy.] It has many components a ladder truck, a ladder, and a big man with his extended arm reaching for the boy. [Pg.280]
