Precast Elements There are numerous applications of precast polymer concrete such as panels, pipes, drainage channels, tiles, bricks, linings, manhole structures, stair treads, electric insulators, etc. [11, 15]. 

WulffProcess. The regenerative technique is best exemplified by the Wulff process, Hcensed by Union Carbide Corp. The furnace consists basically of two masses of high purity alumina refractory tile having cylindrical channels for gas flow and separated by a central combustion space as shown in Figure 10. Its cychc operation has four distinct steps, each of approximately 1 min in duration, the sequence being pyrolysis and heat in one direction followed by pyrolysis and heat in the other direction. Continuity of output is achieved by paired installations. 

Sewage flows slowly downward over the filter medium and the effluent is coUected in vitrified tile underdrains which coUect the filter effluent and circulate air into the filter. The underdrains discharge into a main coUection channel which, in turn, discharges into the final settling tank. 

Earliest type, usually cheaper per unit cost, but some- Grid Tile times less efficient than others. Available in widest variety of materials to fit service. Very sound structurally. Usually packed by dumping wet or dry, with larger 4r-6 in. sizes sometimes hand stacked. Wall thickness varies between manufacturers, also some dimensions a ailable surface changes with tvall thickness. Produce considerable side thrust on tower. Usually has more internal liquid channeling, and directs more liquid to walls of tower. Low efficiency.

We present results of 3 simulations which differ from each other only in the resolution of the grid. The widths of the surface elements in the filter are 1.43, 1, and 0.91 A, which correspond to total number of tiles N = 814, 1760, and 1995, respectively. The lengths of the simulations are 886 000, 339 000, and 308 000 MC cycles, respectively. Besides the usual particle displacements, biased particle exchanges between the channel and the baths were applied (for details, see [41,42]). 

Several methods can be used for the production of carbon black. The Lampblack Process, the oldest of all, was developed by the Chinese. Initially, vegetable oil was burned in small lamps with tile covers to accumulate the carbon black formed. Later, shallow pans were used in systems with a restricted air supply. Carbon black in this process was recovered from smoke in settling chambers. This method is still used for production of small quantities of carbon black. The Channel Black Process is another method useful in the past and not important for present production. Natural gas is used as a raw material in this process it is burned in close proximity to steel channels on which carbon black is deposited. Carbon black is removed from the channels by scrapers and falls into hoppers beneath the channels. This process was discontinued in the USA in 1976 because of the price of natural gas, smoke pollution, and low yield. It is still being used in Germany, Eastern Europe, and Japan.
