Change control board

Modification instructions should be produced after approval for the change has been granted and should be submitted to the change control board or design authority for approval before release.

In an August 30, 1990 letter to DOE (Reference 3), WSRC listed those specific actions the Electrical Implementation Task Force determined to be needed to implement each of the recommendations from the ISA of the electric power system (References 1 and 4). On September 4, 1990, the WSRC Change Control Board approved Schedule Change Notice 0322 (SCN-0322), which defines the approved scope, schedule, and deliverables for the implementation of the recommendations from the ISA of the electric power system. The approval of this SCN paves the way for entry of these actions into the ROMP system. The staff views ROMP SCN-0322 as an overall summary of the implementation actions. 

Yet in the control room the switches may now be configured in D-A-B-C sequence because there was no room on the control board for the new switch to be added after the C switch, but there was room to add it before the A switch. In an emergency, the operator is likely to mistakenly flip the D switch when really trying to flip the A switch. This ergonomic trap proliferates as time goes on and changes are made without consideration for operator habits, tendencies, and normally expected actions. 

Thickness changes in a six-cycle water-soaking/ovendrying test for an acetylated aspen flakeboard are shown in Figure 4 ( ). Control boards swelled more than 70 percent in thickness during the six cycles, compared with less than I5 percent for a board made from acetylated flakes. Acetylation greatly reduced both irreversible and reversible swelling. 

Figure 5 (2J) shows changes in thickness of aspen flakeboards made from control and acetylated flakes using a phenolic adhesive at different relative humidities. After four cycles of 30 to 90 percent RH, control boards swelled 30 percent in thickness, while acetylated boards at 17 9 WPG swelled about 5 percent. 

Surface smoothness or its inverse property, grain raising, was not quantified. Qualitatively this property was changed only slightly in the instance of the HDA experimental boards after the one-hour boil test whereas, that of the PF control boards had substantially deteriorated. 

There have been several studies on the changes in mechanical properties of fiberboards made from chemically modified wood fiber. Hardboards made from control and acetylated hemlock fiber using 7% phenyl-formaldehyde adhesive were tested. In static bending, MOR was reduced by 23% and MOE reduced by 16% in acetylated boards as compared to control boards [38]. At 16 15, abrupt increase of indications of all IVA devices installed on the outlet of the SG-5 all sections started (it should be taken into account that the period of sodium flow through the circuit is about 2 minutes). However indications of ITI, ISHIT and KAV-7 devices did not change, causing some doubt with respect to the IVA s indication growth, and the latter was explained by erroneous actions of I C man sent to the local control board.

Simply put, instead of turning handwheels as is required by conventional machines the CNC machine control unit (MCU) sends a motion signal via a controller board to a servo motor attached to each machine axis. This causes the servo motor to rotate a ballscrew attached to the table, cross-slide or column, causing it to move. The actual position of the axis is continuously monitored and compared to the commanded position with feedback from a transmitter attached to the ballscrew. The ballscrews have almost no backlash, so when the servo reverses direction there is almost no lag between a commanded reversing motion and corresponding change in slide direction.
