Centrifugal mills are a special design of vibration mill with a fixed amplitude (Fig. 14.10). 

Vibratory-centrifugal mills, developed by Denisov with coauthors [11] and marked as 5G, lOG, 30G, 50G, could be successfully used for continuous operation to carry out mechanochemical syntheses under industrial conditions.

The rotation is passed to the drive shaft of the motor through a V-belt transmission. The drive shaft rotates crankshafts synchronously and transmits the motion to milling blocks. The productivity of the mill depends on the size of jars, the frequency of shaft rotation, rate of material admittance through the jars, etc. Centrifugal mills providing the productivity of 5- -50 kg per hour have been constructed.

The samples used in this study were Danish wheat straw pellets which were milled on a laboratory ultra centrifugal mill (Retzsch ZM 100) mounted with a 1 mm screen. In addition, washed wheat straw was used. The washing procedure was as follows 1 g of milled straw was placed in 200 ml deionized water and stirred for 20 hours at room temperature, then filtered and washed with 300 ml deionized water, before drying [1,6,8].

Cyclone and CycloTec not strongly influenced, burr mills strongly affected by moisture or fiber content, high-speed impeller and centrifugal mills not affected by oil content.
