Carrier, proposed definition

The reactions occurring during the chemiluminescence of luminol are still not too well known. Several theories have been proposed, but the difficulty of identifying the intermediate products has thus far made it impossible to draw definite conclusions (5). Drew suggested that peroxides and ozonides are the intermediate products, but it is also possible that cellulose, which has always been looked upon as an inert carrier, takes an active part in the reaction. Thus the phenomenon in this form cannot be used as a basis for measurements, because one is never interested in a method, which, in order to furnish good results, must be extended over several hours. 

It should be remembered that unlike Nolte s proposed equation, Shah s results show definite shear rate-dependent relative viscosities. Also, power law exponent, ns, of slurry is not the same as the carrier fluid n as assumed by Nolte. Prud homme (26) has also reported decreasing n values with increasing volume fraction solids. 

The tissue distribution of gallium radionuclides is affected by many factors, such as the extent of neoplasm [62], the presence of inflammatory processes [63], sex hormone status [64], age [65], lactation [66], radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment [67,68], amount of carrier gallium administered [69,70], and administration of compounds which block plasma protein binding of gallium [62,71]. The mechanism of uptake of Ga in tumors and abscesses has not been definitely established. One proposed mechanism suggests that Ga-transferrin interacts with specific transferrin receptors on the tumor cell, where upon binding to the cell the Ga-transferrin complex... 

The mechanism for the polymerization of the teichoic acids has not been definitively established, but it is most probably very similar to the biosyntheses of the other lipid-coenzyme-dependent polysaccharides, the peptidomurein and Salmonella 0-antigen polysaccharide, in which the monomer unit or repeating unit attached to the lipid polyprenol pyrophosphate carrier is inserted between the growing chain and the lipid coenzyme carrier.
