Filtration. Any type of clarification is foUowed by filtration through leaf-type vertical or horizontal pressure filters. Carbonatated Hquors, containing calcium carbonate, may require addition of diatomaceous earth as a filter precoat. Phosphatated Hquors are generally filtered with the addition of diatomaceous earth as precoat and body feed.

CARBONATATION The process of purifying juice by adding an excess of calcium hydroxide (lime) at 75°C and removing the surplus by precipitation with carbon dioxide and filtering the resulting calcium carbonate. 

L. B. Werner u. I. Perlman (216) beobachteten, daB bei der Zugabe von NaOCl zu einer Losung von Am3 in K2COs bei 95° ein Niederschlag ausfallt, der offenbar aus einem Carbonat von Am5 bestand. R. A. Penneman u. Mitarb. (148) untersuchten diese Oxydation von Am3t in Carbonatlosungen und stellten eine Reihe unloslicher, komplexer Am5t-Carbonate in Substanz dar. 

Natrium-americyl-(V)-carbonat entsteht bei der Einwirkung von NaOCl auf eine Losung von Am3 in Na2C03. Es kristallisiert monoklin, doch ist die Struktur in ihren Einzelheiten noch nicht bekannt (148). 

Kalium-americyl-(V)-carbonat, KAm02C03, wurde von R. A. Penneman u. Mitarb. (6) bei der Oxydation einer Aufschlammung von... 

Ammonium-americyl-(V)-carbonat, NHiAm02C03, entsteht wie das Rubidiumsalz aus NH4-haltiger Losung. Es kristallisiert ebenfalls hexagonal (148). 

Im zweiten Falle werden die Verunreinigungen, nach Abtrennen des Aktiniums mit Fluorid an Lanthantrager, durch Hydroxyd, Carbonat, Sulfid und Chromat entfemt. Tragerfreies Franciran kann durch Tren-nung von Caesium mittels Ionenaustauschem erhalten werden [51).

The Fe content of sediments varies greatly with the type of rock (Wedepohl, 1969 a). Sandstones contain ca. 10 g kg Fe, claystones ca. 50 g kg and carbonatic rocks ca. 4 g kg Fe. In recent deep sea sediments Fe contents are low in carbonates (9 g kg ), but high in clays (65 g kg ). Sedimentary iron minerals belong to the groups of oxides, carbonates, clay silicates and sulphides. In addition, Fe is a common impurity in other sedimentary minerals. 

Nitro-imidazol bzw. 2-Methyl-4(5)-nitro-imidazol werden mit Dimethylcarbonat/Kalium-carbonat unter Phasentransferkatalyse zu l-Methyl-4-nilro- (57%) bzw. 1,2-Dimethyl-4-nilro-imidazol (52%) methyliert863.
