Capronic acid

N.A. Aquilegia vulgaris L. Delphinidin-3,5-diglucoside, lipase, nitryl-glycoside, capronic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid.100 ... [Pg.249]

To a solution of 1.0 g 17-a-hydroxy-19-norprogesteron in 32 ml capronic acid anhydride 1.32 g p-toluesulfonate (1 mole hydrate) were added, and allowed to stand for 3 h at 37°C. To the solution 1.43 ml cone, hydrochloric acid in 143 ml methanol were added and all this also for 1 h was left under N2. Then mixture was washed with water and treated with ether. Ether extract was washed with water, and dried with Na2S04. After that ether was distilled and residue was recrystallised with isopropyl ether. 1.1 g of 17-a-hydroxyl-19-norprogesteron-17-capronate was obtained, melting point 123°-124°C. [Pg.1762]

As a result of their higher capsicinoid content (0.6-0.9%), the fruits are considerably sharper. Basically, the constituents are the same as those of red pepper. The composition of the essential oil has been investigated by Haymon and Aurand [247], who mainly detected various esters of butyric, valerianic and capronic acid, but no typical aroma constituent. [Pg.242]

This is soluble in water and can be isolated from the raw wool by aqueous extraction. It contains potassium salts of fatty acids, such as oleic and stearic acids, and potassium carbonate is also present. The simpler organic acids, such as acetic, lactic, butyric, valeric, and capronic acids, have also been found both in the free state and as their potassium salts. Amino acids such as leucine, glycine, and tyrosine have been detected. Suint, therefore, is a complex mixture this might be expected because it is derived from sweat, which is known to be one of the means by which an animal discards unwanted waste products of its metabolism. [Pg.83]

CAPRONIC ACID (142-62-1) Combustible liquid (flash point 215°F/101°C oc). Violent reaction with oxidizers. Incompatible with sulfuric acid, caustics, ammonia, amines, isocyanates, alkylene oxides, epichlorohydrin. Attacks common metals. [Pg.255]

Propionic acid—Butyric acid isobutyric acid, Hamonet s conclusions—Valeric acid—Capronic acid—CEnanthylic... [Pg.13]

Capronic Acid.—A concentrated solution of the potassium salt gave decane and traces of the amyl ester of capronic acid, both of which are normal decomposition products. The electrolyses were made by Brazier and Gossleth, by Wdrz, and by Rohland. [Pg.44]

Enanthylic Acid.—The normal acid was electrolyzed by Brazier and Gossleth under conditions similar to those for capronic acid, and gave two hydrocarbons, C H and" C H , in addition to hydrogen, potassium carbonate and acid potassium carbonate. [Pg.44]

Later Drechsel electrolyzed normal capronic acid with alternating currents. The electrolytic solution contained, in a volume of 3 liters, 200 g. of capronic acid as magnesium salt and was nearly saturated with acid magnesium carbonate. Platinum electrodes were used. At the end of the experiment the following compounds could be identified in the solution ... [Pg.105]
