In the revised Cancer Guidelines (US-EPA 2005), the use of a weight of evidence narrative that includes both a conclusion about the weight of evidence of carcinogenic potential and a summary of the data on which the conclusion rests in toto replaces the alphanumerical classification system used in US-EPA s 1986 Cancer Guidelines (US-EPA 1986b).
