Breast imaging mammography

Initial work-up for a woman presenting with a lesion or symptoms suggestive of breast cancer should include a careful history, physical examination of the breast, three-dimensional mammography, and possibly other breast imaging techniques such as ultrasound. Quality assurance (QA) refers to all systematic activities undertaken by the breast imaging staff to ensure bigh-quality mammography (Hogge 1999).
