Bluetooth® module

A wireless data network which uses the Bluetooth network protocol has some special properties, which are pointed out in the literature studies. When the associated parameters are sensed from the body or skin, the microprocessor encodes and transfers the digitized data to the Bluetooth module via an internal serial link for the radio transmission to the receiver system [70]. [Pg.546]

Hybrid filters are therefore a trade-off between scale of integration (module size), costs, and performance. Figure 9.65 shows an example of a hybrid design. If combined with active elements, tunable filters, or fully functional systems, or SiPs can be realized [59]. A very popular example is Ericsson s Bluetooth module. [Pg.414]

Textile antennae can be incorporated into clothing systems for long-distance communication (Salonen and Rahmat-Samii, 2006). They can be directly printed onto a textile substrate or a micro-patch anteima attached to a vest. Depending on the environment, such antennae can operate in the range of 10-100 m. Longer-distance communication can be achieved by improved technology and the use of laptop computers or mobile phones. Very short distance connections can be made by wireless links using induction. Data can also be transferred by Bluetooth modules if the soldiers are located close to a central control facility. [Pg.246]

The deviee has a low power MCU for read digitalized IP signal from ADC by SPI interfaee. The MF and controller of the Bluetooth module is implemented in the MCU, too. [Pg.76]

The subject of this article, as the name implies, is a visualization of data measured by a wireless module. In this case, a Bluetooth module BluesenseAD. [Pg.363]

BIuesenseAD s is OEM bluetooth modul of Corscience company designed for easy implementation of the Bluetooth network to the measurement and control chains. The module is equipped with a serial line emulation and eightchanneled, twelvebit A/D converter. Thanks to a special antenna module, it has up to 25m range at very low current consumption, it is also suitable for battery-powered applications. BluesenseAD network can operate as master or slave device. [4]... [Pg.363]

The first functional part of the application will be communication part, which provides setting parameters of the bluetooth module, serial port, diagnostics of communication and organization of the serial line protocol. For the Bluetooth module BluesenseAD connection a few basic steps are needed first. The computer, to receive data from BluesenseAD modul, must also be equipped with a Bluetooth device. In the case of desktop computers, it is needed to use Bluetooth cards or other USB donge device, for laptops (netbooks), the situation is much easier because they already contain the standard Bluetooth. Bluetooth driver installation and configuration follows, the driver also make sa virtual serial port accesible, which provides the communication. After these steps of pairing between devices will take place and BluesenseAD is connected to the computer. This procedure is required each first time you connect any device, after its successful completion application can communicate with. [Pg.364]

In accordance with the previous chapter the very application developnemt will be executed. That especially means that the application will be separated into two functional units which will function separately, and their cooperation will ensured by the proper transmission of data. The middle of the application is Bluesense Control, this part also manages the communication between the application and the wireless Bluetooth module BluesenseAD. It also ensures the transfer of data visualization. The relationship between parts of applications and measurement module is shown in Figure 1. [Pg.365]

This solution is mainly used in laboratories for longdistance, wireless measurement by Bluetooth modules and especially thanks to the universal concept of the application. [Pg.366]

A final example is the production of a very popular smart phone. According to the Asian Development Bank, five countries were involv in manufacturing 14 key parts and the final assembly. Germany made six parts (e.g., camera modules, GPS receiver), Korea made the application processor. United States made three parts (e.g., memory chip, Bluetooth) and Japan made four parts (e.g., display module, flash memory, touch screen). The final assembly of the smart phone was done in China ... [Pg.452]

Besides the wide use of printed resistors for various applications, the focus of integration for capacitors and inductors is mainly for the radio frequency and lower microwave band of the frequency spectrum. Applications of interest are front-end modules for GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), filter modules for various wireless applications, and Bluetooth technology. [Pg.363]
