Behavior language

Further, read between lines and watch for behavioral language. Communication is as much unspoken words and body language as the spoken words. While we all would like and expect others to mean what they just said, it just is not so for human beings. Develop skills and relationships with people so that you can fill in what is said with what was not said, or what was implied. The Universal Modeling Language is used to describe a software system [4, 5], Several kinds of diagrams exist to model the diverse properties of the system. Thus a description of the system can be developed that enables the systematic and uniform documentation of the system. The class diagram, for example, represents the classes and their relationships. But also interacting diagrams exist, to describe the dynamic behavior of the system and its objects. 

Computer scientists usually define AI in terms of what it can accomplish. They are especially interested in the creation of intelligent software that can reproduce the kind of behavior that humans would recognize as intelligent, such as understanding language or conducting a conversation. 

Diffusion operates along well-defined physical principles first described in 1855 by Adolf Fick and now widely known as Fick s Laws of Diffusion. Philbert5 provides a detailed explanation of the laws and a historical account of Fick. While they were designed to describe the behavior of gas molecules under ideal theoretical conditions, Fick s Laws serve reasonably well to describe a wide variety of real diffusion events. Fick wrote the laws as a set of equations in the language of calculus but these can be rephrased in plain English.

Our seminar scheduling application will have many classes in its implementation. One likely class is a calendar that tracks various scheduled events for various instructors. We start with two different Java implementations of the calendar. A class implements any number of interfaces and also implicitly defines a new type. Behavioral guarantees should be defined on interfaces but are not directly supported by the language itself. You cannot instantiate an interface, only a class. 

The notations we discuss in this book form a specialised language for developing and discussing software and other systems behavior. It provides the benefit that we, the analysts and designers of the system, can use it to form a clear picture of what we intend to provide for the users.
