The following major objectives and goals were adopted for the BN-1600M advanced [Pg.416]

Improvement of the economic efficiency of power production to a level comparable to PWRs in terms of generating cost, through the maximum feasible reduction in specific mass of major components and of the reactor unit in general, through simplification of the plant components and systems and increase of the steam cycle efficiency. [Pg.416]
