Austria identity

The second group includes those countries that opt to establish copayments with a fixed monetary value Germany, Sweden, Ireland, the UK and Austria. The amount payable per package can be identical for all prescriptions (UK, Austria), or it can depend on the size of the package (Germany). In Sweden, patients pay a fixed sum in kronor for the first prescription, and a smaller sum for each subsequent prescription. 

In Germany, Austria and Sweden, drug-prevention activities are oriented specifically towards very young women and schoolgirls. These initiatives often focus on female identity and how to refuse offers of drugs from boyfriends or other male peers. 

In the performance of on-line PTR-MS measurements of VOCs in ambient air at the Sonnblick Observatory in Austria, we observed significant intensities at masses that are indicative of volatile leaf wound compounds (more details are presented in Section IV A). Such compounds are released very shortly after wounding of leaves has occurred, and in the case of their observation at the Sonnblick, it was suspected that freezing of living plants might be the cause for their appearance. To test this idea, we needed to confirm the identity of detected masses, so a PTR-MS instrument was interfaced with a gas chromatograph equipped with a capillary column. Details of the chromatography can be found in references [33] and [34], and... 

The discovery of liquid crystals by humans is due to the Austrian botanist Friedrich Reinitzer [14] what he observed in 1888 were cholesteric MLCs (see Section 41.3.1). Some people did not believe Reinitzer that such strange structures are possible. However, a German scientist named Otto Lehmann asked Reinitzer for some samples, conducted similar experiments, and reported virtually identical results a year later [15]. Given the popirlar disbelief, Lehmaim s resirlts were not exactly trivial. Lehmaim also coined the name liquid crystals —over objections of Reinitzer, who said the name is wrong and constitutes a contradiction. As you can easily imagine, there were cen-tennnial celebrations in Austria in 1988 and in Germany in 1989.
