Assumptions documenting initial

Next the team develops a chronology of events based on the available known times and sequences. This document is usually referred to as a timeline. (See the detailed description of timeline development in Section 9.3.) Unconfirmed assumptions regarding chronology should be clearly identified as unconfirmed, and action should be initiated to verify assumptions. Many investigators use relatively simple timelines (instead of sequence diagrams) with the logic tree methods because the logic tree itself shows the interactions of events and conditions. 

The extent to which you can complete the innovation financial management documents early in the project depends on the level of innovation you hope to achieve. During incremental innovation, your initial ratio of knowledge to assumptions (Exhibit 11.1) will be higher than for substantial or breakthrough innovation. In either case, you should update the relevant financial documents, as well as the Project Charter, as you uncover new data throughout the project. 

We report on formation of tin-dioxide nanoislands by molecular-beam deposition of Sn on Si/Si02 substrates followed by thennal oxidation. The microstructure and phase composition of Sn and SnO nanoislands wens studied by TEM. The formation of coreshell Sn02/Sn structures as well as holes in the SnO nanoislands is documented and found to correlate with the thickness of initial Sn layer and with the oxidation temperature. The results are discussed on the basis of the Kirkendall effect with an additional assumption that absorption of oxygen atoms on the oxide surface creates an electric field that promotes the diffusion of metal ions. 

A report of the results of the simulation must be generated. The written report will have the data, assumptions, deviations from the simulation plan with justifications, results, conclusions, recommendations, program scripts, simulation outputs, and supporting literature. The initial draft should be reviewed by the simulation team prior to release to the clinical development team. The final document should be archived. 

The ordnance document base at Huntsville, Alabama, contained insufficient and erroneous information on World War I-era experimental chemical projectiles. Incomplete data led to the assumption that all chemical ordnance was liquid filled. Initially, experts used a melting box to heat a frozen shell (the first shells were found in January) to determine if it was chemical. No attempt was made to generalize this observation. In principle, the phenomenmi should be related to the critical value of the capillary number, Kcr, and a ratio of the polymer(s) relaxation time to... 

The BET-isotherm has been derived by statistical mechanical methods by Hill and later again by W. Steele (1974) [7.5], [7.43], It can be shown that the infinitive number of adsorbate layers assumption used in deriving (7.70), is a reasonable approximation for multilayer adsorbates with more than 4 layers. Though admolecular interactions are not explicitly taken into account in (7.70), today this isotherm provides the basis for a standardized method to determine the mesoporous surface of porous sorbent materials by N2-adsorption at T = 77 K or Ar-adsorption at T = 87 K, i. e. ps = 0.1 MPa. For this normally only the initial portion of a measured isotherm (0 < p/ps < 0.35) is used. Details are given in [7.1, 7.5, 7.44-7.47] and in the respective ISO-documents published meanwhile [7.14]. 

The recommendations for a "supply chain stage-gate process" call for early consideration of needed supply chain changes. The initial assessment at Gate 1 is whether a supply chain change is needed at all. At Gate 2 developers should know the type of product it is in the case of a new-product situation. At this point, we believe candidate partners should be identified. The business case at Gate 3 should produce a discovery-driven plan that requires documentation of supply chain assumptions.
