The geometry of the capsomeres results in their assembly into particles exhibiting one of two different architectural styles—helical or icosahedral symmetry (Fig. 3.2). 

Directed actions may be implemented in CORBA, in COM, as method calls in an OO programming language, or as a set of calling conventions in some other style the directed actions are mapped based on technical architecture choices.20 There is still a dialog at some level (such as call and return), but this is set by the architecture and local conventions rather than being specific to the participants. 

As with packaging, the exact form of component composition varies across different component technologies and tools. The key point is that the composition can be done by a different party, and at a different time, from the building of the components themselves. Section 10.7, Component Architecture, discusses a component-port-connector model for describing compositions in a simple way. Ports are the access points in a component where its services can be accessed or where it can access another s services connectors couple ports. The kinds of compositions supported by a particular technology or style can be described by its connector kinds. 

There can be many different implementations of a given architecture model, and the same architecture model can be applied to many different applications. A given component architecture describes its type, or style, and its implementation. 

Port category In any architecture, there are different categories of ports characterized by the style of information transfer whether isolated events or streams of values, whether buffered, whether interactive, and so on. They are also differentiated by implementation C++ function call, database transaction, FTP transfer, dictation over the phone, and so on. 

Combining independently designed frameworks is not easy. As discussed in Section 11.3.1.3, Contrast of Styles, a framework attempts to codify and prescribe the policies and rules for interactions among its application s objects in particular, the framework usually takes control, and the applications simply plug in the parts they need. We need explicit attention to interframework coordination at the level of the interframework architecture. 

For example, layered architectures frequently use a special notation. A catalog of such architectural styles can be built in a way that s much like the use of frameworks in Section 9.8.2, Stereotypes and Dialects. 

There are many different architectural views of a system, calling for different kinds of elements. These elements include hardware and networks, packages and their structures, object types and relationships, concurrent processes and threads, tables and columns, and the patterns that dictate how they are to be used. An architectural style, or type, defines a consistent set of elements and rules for their use. 

Using components and connectors to define architectural styles was introduced in [Allen94] and elaborated in [Shaw96], Component connectors appear in a number of patterns in [PLoP]. Our definition of them in terms of actions appeared in [Wills97a]. 

Besides his fellow Austrians, Mark s close friends included Hungarians and Poles, as well as Germans. This broad mesh of backgrounds and styles of thinking was catalyzed by the unexcelled and readily available music, art, and architecture, and stimulated by such scientists as Schroedinger, Haber, Hahn,... 

Metals, which are also nonrenewable and use energy-intensive production processes, are best reserved for special applications for example, around balconies and roof gardens where their strength and lightness is essential. Decorative ironwork may also be required to preserve the architectural style of a building it can often be found in salvage yards. 

Based on the Renew materials, a system of instant shelter - From Shelter to House to Home - for the homeless everywhere is currently being designed by the RUBACON architectural design team. Two styles of construction are being designed, both with high resistance to storm and earthquake. 

With increasing production and profits, many new wineries were constructed in architecturally pleasing styles. See Figures 8 and 9.

The outrage was not long in coming. Architecture Chief denies Auschwitz was the style of one of the more harmless headlines. No researches were initiated, to the contrary. At best there were two or three telephone inquiries whose subsequent print editions usually claimed exactly the opposite of what Liiftl had explained. 

Glass and steel architecture was not entirely banished. It was suitable for the modern sites of transportation, such as new railway stations in Berlin and Munich. Factories might even retain elements of this new building style, inasmuch as it was functional . Mies van der Rohe and Walter Gropius tried, early on, to come to an accommodation with their new masters.
