Anthropometrical parameters and their comparison with clinical and functional characteristics show that children living in environmentally... [Pg.195]

Statistical Analysis. Because we previously observed differences in body composition between boys and girls with SCD, the impedance analysis results for boys and girls were analyzed separately. Two-sample t tests were used for comparing the age and anthropometric parameters of the SCD and controls (NCSS 2001 Statistical System for Windows, NCSS, Kaysville, Utah). Regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between phase angle and age and... [Pg.288]

Heat comfort is affected by six factors which are four environmental parameters including dry bulb temperature, relative humidity of air, wind velocity and average radiant temperature, and two anthropometric parameters including activity intensity of human body and heat-resistance of clothes, which has been proved by lots of researches (Fanger P O et al. 1974, Zeng G et al. 2007, Wang S G et al. 2010). [Pg.816]

Twenty anthropometric parameters were taken for each of the subjects in order to calculate the body segment parameters will be finally be used in the inverse dynamics analysis [19][20]. Sixteen passive reflective markers were... [Pg.162]

There are a total of 27 anthropometric parameters being measured in this study. Five dimensions were measured... [Pg.193]

Dependency errors arise from lack of consideration of dependencies between parameters (be it by mistake or as a simplifying assumption) or incorrect inference of dependencies between parameters. For instance, anthropometric properties such as body weight, dermal surfaces and inhalation rate are correlated. Not including empirically proven correlations in a probabilistic assessment will yield incorrect exposure estimates. [Pg.19]

Anthropometric Measurements. Anthropometry uses measurements of body parameters to monitor normal growth and nutritional health in well-nourished individuals and to detect nutritional inadequacies or excesses. In adults, the measurements most commonly used are height, weight,... [Pg.27]

Either the series impedance electrical model (often with the reactance component X neglected) or the parallel equivalent has been used. Several indexes have been introduced to increase the accuracy. Gender, age, and anthropometric results, such as total body weight and height, are parameters used. An often-used index is where H is the body height and the resistance of a given segment. [Pg.173]

Abstract— Studies have indicated that body dimensions differ for various populations. To determine whether there are differences in the anthropometric data of the population in Malaysia and other country, the anthropometric data of Malaysian adult were collected. This paper describes anthropometric data of 19-25 year old university students. One hundred individuals were measured — 50 female and 50 male, with ages ranging from 18 to 35 years old. A set of 27 static anthropometric measurements were obtained for each individual. Additionally, the statistical analysis carried out to the data obtained show that some statistical parameters, such as the variation and correlation coefficients, behave as expected, and as observed in other populations. [Pg.193]
