I was fortunate enough to see some of the earlier versions and later I obtained a compilation of topics in Process Safety Booklets, 6th ed., 1984, Amoco Oil Company Refining and Engineering. The sixth edition was a hard-backed book that contained nine previously published booklets, but the newest series overshadows the previous editions. 

Amoco Oil Company Refining and Engineering now publishes a two-inch thick hardcover book entitled Process Safety Booklets. [2] I highly recommend this book. It contains numerous sketches and photos and incorporates nine previously published booklets,...

Process Safety Booklets, 6th ed., 1984, AMOCO Oil Company Refining and Engineering. It seems this fundamental, matter-of-fact safety practices book is not available via the normal book sales route. It is a superior book intended as a safety supplement to operator training courses, operating manuals, and operating procedures. The first edition of these booklets appeared over 40 years ago. The text is a real value at about 50.
