Aluminum silica coated

Copper and gold bronze pigments are not as colorfast as aluminum pigments because they decompose to produce colored oxides and corrosion products. However, stabilized pigments (e.g., with a silica coating) are also available for critical applications in binders with high acid values or that react with copper or zinc. [Pg.230]

CCM were performed on silica-coated aluminum plates... [Pg.417]

Most commercially prepared plates are 20 cm x 20 cm and are coated with a 0.25-mm-thick layer of adsorbent. The plate backing is usually glass, plastic, or aluminum. The coating is usually silica gel (Si02) or alumina (AljOj) cellulose, modified cellulose, kieselghur, ion exchange resins, and octyldecylsilane on glass beads are used less often. [Pg.256]

Chemically classified as Sodium-Aluminum-Sulfo-Silicates , the ultramarine pigments represent a class of heat stable, light fast pigments. Unfortunately, their chemical resistance is limited - readily attacked by both acids and alkali - and they are therefore not recommended for extended outdoor exposure. A small selection of acid resistant grades protected with a silica coating are available at a slightly higher cost. A natural form of ultramarine is the mineral lapis lazuli. [Pg.7]

Aluminum sheets coated with silica gel 60 F254 Silica gel... [Pg.1009]

Developed to provide improved thermal management for today s smaller, faster electronic devices, silica coated aluminum nitride is a highly thermally conductive filler material used in semiconductor molding compounds. Molding compounds filled with this material provide the potential to improve reliability when compared to standard and non-metal-enhanced packages. Silica coated aluminum nitride also provides the potential to enhance functionality, power, heat dissipation and performance, while lowering system costs. [Pg.727]

Analysis by thin layer chromatography (TLC) indicates product formation and a small amount of starting material. TLC was performed on Merck Silica gel 60 F-254 coated on aluminum sheets. Product 3 has Rf = 0.44 (elution with 70 30 petroleum ether-ethyl acetate visualization with iodine vapor). [Pg.91]
