Allyl diglycol carbonate (ADC) n. A colorless, water-dear monomer that can be polymerized and cast into a variety of transparent, optical-grade products. It can be copolymerized with other unsaturated monomers such as vinyl acetate, maleic anhydride, and methyl methacrylate to produce polymers with a wide spectrum of properties. [Pg.42]

The plastic resin is often used for safety glasses, scratch-resistant glazing, lens covers, etc. It is manufactured as a cast sheet by PPG. The allyl diglycol carbonate monomer is available commercially from Polymer Products. [Pg.29]
