We developed a multiresidue analytical method by GC/MS in 1995 [3] and modihed by the use of LC/MS in 2002. Thus, we expanded the number of pesticides tested annually and continued monitoring surveys for the last 10 years [4—6], Our multiresidue analytical method and the monitoring data on pesticide residues in agricultural products are reported in this chapter. [Pg.395]

The purpose of the various algorithms for calibration is to optimize a mathematical interpretation (model) of the calibration data that will allow an accurate prediction of constituent values in unknown samples. The mathematical modeling can be done in a number of ways, but the final lest of any calibration is the accurate prediction of samples not included in the calibration. The most rigorous test for a calibration equation is to test its accuracy using a number of sets of known prediction samples and to verify the resulting errors with statistical hypothesis tests. Some of the tests most commonly used in agricultural product calibrations are explained in Section 17.7. [Pg.373]

The effects of epibrassinolide on wheat production in large field tests are summarized in Table V. The total area tested during 1985-1990 was 3,333 ha (50,000 mu). It should be emphasized that the results accumulated from repeated experiments over a period of 6 years from a vast testing area were quite constant and reliable, and the agricultural significance of epibrassinolide is readily confirmed from these data. [Pg.286]

Force sensors are not used in general automotive applications. In agricultural machines a force sensor measures the load at the connection rod [1], Some force sensors are specially made for measuring forces during vehicle testing and validation. Often metal strain gauges are welded to the devices under test The data is sometimes needed for system development or to verify simulation results. The first and only mass production of torque sensors is in electrical steering systems [2]. [Pg.450]
