Aggregation prevention

NO plays multiple roles in the arterial wall, which are dilatation of the artery, inhibition of platelet aggregation, prevention of adhesion of leukocyte with endothelium, and suppression of growth of VSMC. Multiple factors are involved in the induction of restenosis, so that the strategy to augment NO production may be the most practical approach for its treatment. 

The biophysical experiments of our cooperation partners focus mainly on two different techniques - a rough estimate of aggregation prevention is found by differential ultracentrifugation (UC), but more detailed information about the kinetics and aggregate size comes from fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) [24].

The effect of peat on bulk density of heavy soils is a very important one regardless of its contribution to either active or inactive humus. It helps to maintain good aggregation, prevents clod formation, improves aeration and water infiltration, and permits an easy and wide ramification of plant root systems. Cultivation is done with much less difficulty. In very sandy soils peat increases the retentive capacity for both water and nutrients.

Addition of preformed hexameric template product at the start of the reaction showed an increase in initial rate with increasing amount of dopant. Kinetic analysis of the data provided a value of 0.48 for p, which suggests that strong association between the two strands in the prodnct dnplex limits severely their separation. Since only free template is catalytically active, its self-aggregation prevents the system from exponential growth. 

Finally, the variation in E and tan 8 of the 30/70 XSBR/NR blend and their 3 phr nSi02 and PS-nSi02 containing nanocomposites as a function of temperature are shown in Fig. 16.
