Coldham and coworkers developed a new method, which included an intramolecular [3 + 2] cycloaddition of azomethine yhde (198), to construct an ABC tricycUc intermediate (197) [99] (Scheme 17). The product (197) was further converted to an advanced ABCD tetracychc intermediate (195). An intermolecular version of this cycloaddition was reported by WUhams and Ahrendt who used a chiral azomethine yhde (205). A chiral AC spiro-cychc intermediate (203) was converted to an ACD tricychc intermediate (201) using RCM [100]. [Pg.229]

Abstract This review highlights recent (2000-2004) advances and developments regarding the synthesis of block copolymers with both linear [AB diblocks, ABA and ABC triblocks, ABCD tetrablocks, (AB)n multiblocks etc.] and non-linear structures (star-block, graft, miktoarm star, H-shaped, dendrimer-like and cyclic copolymers). When dealing with large populations of injured, you need to have an effective public address system so that your instructions can be heard by aU. In a chemical event, clear lanes that separate hot, warm, and cold decontamination zones are imperative. This needs to be appropriately staffed and equipped. The faster the victims can be separated from the contaminant, the better off they will be. Each victim needs to first be approached with rescuer safety and victim decontamination in mind, along with the Advanced Life Support ABCDEs for cardiac, trauma, and hazardous materials. If a toxidrome is found where an antidote exists, this should be started immediately when possible.
