Additional book

Such is the richness and intellectual vibrancy of the field of RI chemistry that an additional book was needed to cover silicon, germanium and tin centered RFs, as well as tetrahedral intermediates and topics of increasing importance such as quantum mechanical tunelling, conical intersections, solid-state chemistry, and combustion chemistry. These topics are covered in this new book. [Pg.488]

The initial selection of books was based on the list of chemical and other technical books reprinted for the Alien Property Custodian, under the license issued to Edwards Bros., Ann Arbor, Michigan, and listed in their Catalog 6. Eighty percent of these were already available at Crerar. The Library Committee prepared a list from the remaining twenty percent. Later, since the Alien Property Custodian s authorizations already represented a selective list, it was decided that all of the books in the remaining twenty percent should be purchased. Some additional books from other Alien Property Custodian lists were also selected and approved for purchase. [Pg.301]

Through cooperation of the CCLF Library Committee and Crerar Library, books listed in Chemical Abstracts are checked against Crerar holdings. Those already acquired by Crerar are normally found to be from 60 to 75% of all CA book titles. Titles not yet acquired are reviewed by the Library Committee and book selectors on the Crerar Library staff for choice of additional books to be acquired by the library. On several occasions the CCLF trustees have approved special appropriations for this purpose. [Pg.302]
